Accademia Daniel

The Baroque Ensemble was founded by a group of leading Israeli musicians in the early music scene, residing in cities such as: Jerusalem, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Toronto and more. The Ensembles rehearses both in Israel and Europe. The Ensemble's Repertoire stems primarily from the Baroque. They perform both in concert and important festivals in Israel and Europe (Such as The Liturgica Festival, Jerusalem, Abu-Gosh, Tel-Aviv museum, Haydn Festival, Bach-Archiv Leipzig, Haendelhaus Halle, The annual radio-3-night Antwerp, Prague-Symphony concert series, Michaelstein, Fasch Festival Zerbst, Kassel, Fulda, Bad-Toelz, Haldensleben, Telemann Festival Magdeburg, Tag der Mitteldeutsche Musik, Thessaloniki and many more) together with world known soloists such as Simon Standage, Guy de Mey, Barbara Schlick, Michael Schneider, John Toll, Rainer Zipperling, Carolyn Watkinson, Oslo Baroque Soloists etc.

In July 98 they recorded the complete Op. 1 by G.F Händel for the Italian label Stradivarius,in February 99 they recorded the complete Bass cantatas by Fasch, together with Klaus Mertens and Deborah York for the German label CPO and in October 2000 selected unknown Bass cantatas by C. Graupner With K. Mertens for the label HR. In 2002 they recorded again for HR a cycle of unknown bass cantatas by Telemann, and in 2006 they returned to record for CPO another cycle of Cantatas by Telemann, this time with the German Soprano Dorothea Mields and Klaus Mertens.

2007 they will record another Telemann cantatas CD , as well as a collection of cantatas and instrumental music from the Muegeln Archive Cd, both for CPO. In 2008 they will tour and record Bach harpsichord concerti in Europe and South America as well as recording the pieces for the Belgian label Passacaglia.
